High School Percussion Camp
In this camp, high schoolers are invited to spend a week engaging in percussion ensemble music in preparation for an end-of-camp performance. The camp will challenge the students to think critically about percussion music while giving them the opportunity to improve their technique and musicality through seminars, master-classes, and performances provided by our university-trained percussion staff.



Eligibility
Rising 9th - 12th grade percussionists.
Ages 14 - 18, including 2025 grads!
Campers who attend our High School Percussion Camp must have at least 2 years of experience as a percussionist in their school band, orchestra, or percussion ensemble.
- OR -
at least 2 years of private percussion lessons with written music and keyboard studies.

A week-long day camp from 9am - 4pm with before and after camp options.
High School Camp #1: July 7th - 11th

Activities
Group warm-ups and exercises
Rehearsals with Large Percussion Ensemble
Rehearsals with Chamber Ensembles
Daily seminars on various percussion techniques and performance practices
Staff performances
Materials and Lunch
All instruments and other materials are provided. Students will only need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and a snack.
All students will receive 1 pair of drumsticks, 1 set of earplugs, and a camp T-shirt!
