Middle School Percussion Camp
In this camp, middle schoolers are invited to spend a week engaging in percussion ensemble music. The camp will challenge the students to think critically about percussion music while giving them the opportunity to improve their technique and musicality through seminars, master-classes, and performances provided by our university-trained percussion staff.
Eligibility
Rising 6th - 8th grade percussionists.
Ages 11 - 14.
Campers who attend our Middle School Camp must have at least 1 year of prior music training on any instrument. This can be private lessons, school band, or taking courses through apps, videos, or websites.

July 6th - 10th
A week-long day camp from 9am - 4pm with before and after camp options.
Activities
🥁 Group warm-ups and exercises (mallets + practice pad)
🎵 Rehearsals with Large Percussion Ensemble*
🎶 Sessions dedicated to various percussion techniques and performance practices
🎼 Student performances
*sheet music handed out 2 weeks before camp
Materials and Lunch
All instruments and other materials are provided. Students should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and snacks.
All students will receive 1 pair of drumsticks, 1 set of earplugs, and a camp T-shirt!
