Summer Sounds Mallet Camp
In this camp, we will learn how to play mallet percussion instruments through written music, exercises, and learning by ear. We will play on marimbas, vibraphones, and xylophones! Mallet camp is a great place to build your understanding of the piano keyboard, learn to effectively improvise, and make new friends in music.
One of our student-conductor improv activites!
-
each player makes up their own part
-
students are invited to conduct one at a time
-
stickers are used on the instruments to show which notes to play

Eligibility
Ages 11-14
Campers who attend mallet camp must have at least 1 year of prior music training on any instrument. This can be private lessons, school band, or taking courses through apps, videos, or websites.
